Bridging Cultures Through Brass: A Uganda-Diaspora Music Exchange



Project Overview
Educate Brass Foundation is committed to empowering children and youth through music education, creativity, and cultural enrichment. This project seeks to create a cultural exchange between Uganda and other cultures by introducing young learners to other cultures music while celebrating Uganda's vibrant brass band traditions. By combining learning, performance, and collaboration, we aim to inspire participants and foster mutual understanding through music.

Project Objectives
• Introduce young Ugandan musicians to other cultures musical compositions.
• Strengthen cultural exchange through collaborative learning and performance.
• Build confidence, creativity, and discipline among participating children.
• Foster long-term partnerships between Ugandan and other music educators.

Key Activities
• Workshops & Training Sessions - Learning different music pieces alongside Ugandan brass repertoire.
• Virtual Exchange Sessions - Connecting with different educators and students.
• Cultural Showcase - A final non-commercial performance celebrating both traditions.
• Project Documentation - Capturing learning experiences for reporting and sharing.
