Alinaanye Delvin's story
Story by mother.

We are a single-parent family; my husband left with children a long time ago. I sent some to their aunt, others to their grandparents, so that i remain with the ones i can take care of. When the grandparents where i took the children died, all the three of them came back home, which worsened our situation of roviding both basic care and school dues. Delvin has just started school. His performance is not bad. His elders are now in primary level, so the costs of his education are becoming worse. Coupled with my already poor background, this means a huge burden to my family and especially my children.

Of recent, we have just faced another financial challenge: we had to repair our house after the rain season. Even though we went for the cheaper construction plan, we still could not afford the house and had to borrow much money along with most of our savings. This was also not enough since during inspection of the plan, the house did not meet the inspection standards, we are in fear of the debt budern yet also the money we have is not enough to meet the require house standards. Prices for home basic needs are growing higher, coupled with the debt, our already bad financial situation is worsening.

Iam trying my best so that my children study harder and get into a good high school in order to get into university later and not betray their trust.

Thank you for listening to our story.
